Safaris Overview
The park is divided into four areas: North, South, West and Central Serengeti, it’s truly an impressive sight to witness millions of mammals thunder across the plains in search of fresh grass and water, huge lines of wildebeest, storms of red dust, dangerous river crossings and predators chasing. From July to October, the ungulates disperse again, with about half of them crossing the Mara River into Kenya’s Masai Mara Game reserve, and the reminder spreading out through the northern and western Serengeti.
FULL ITINERARY
Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, meet and assisted by driver guide. After short briefing usher to the vehicle transfer to Arusha relax, enjoy dinner before your wildlife safari starts in the morning. Accommodation: 3 or 4 star hotel Meal: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast go for a full day game drives, Tarangire National Park is Tanzania’s 6th largest parks. This park measuring at 2,600 km3 is best known for holding Africa’s largest elephant population and over 550 different bird species, lions, giraffes, zebras well seen. Tarangire river is the source of water for wild animal during the dry season, many wild animals can be easily be spotted during the afternoon because they come to the riverbanks to drink water also there are many baobab trees in this Park. Enjoy a day game viewing in Tarangire River with picnic lunch. Accommodation: 3 or 4 star Lodge Meal: Breakfast picnic lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Mto Wa Mbu Village
After breakfast, check-out from Camp ready drives Mto wa mbu. Mto wa Mbu ward has three villages and it in these villages the cultural tourism program in Mto wa Mbu is operating. These villages include Migombani, Losirwa and Barabarani. During this walk you go on a 2-hour stroll through the local farming village of Mto Wa Mbu.
This village is unique in Tanzania since it is home to over a 120 different tribes from across Africa. The walk will take you to see local farms, schools, a kindergarten, local homes to the masai boma, Iraqwi, Makonde , the market and milling machines. Optional to this walk is a local lunch in the middle of the village or at the Swahili Canteen Restaurant in Mto Wa Mbu. Accommodation: 3 or 4 star Lodge Meal: Breakfast picnic lunch and Dinner
DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, check-out from Camp ready drives to Ngorongoro Conservation. The crater which is the correct term is over 20 kilometers wide and approximately 600 meters deep. If you are lucky and have a clear day, from the bottom you will be able to see the whole way around the crater walls. Today you will do a game drive over the crater floor, through grassland and forest, and see the soda lake named Lake Makat. Ngorongoro Crater is famous for the presence of the Big Five – buffalos, black rhinos, elephants, lions and leopards. It also contains many other animals, such as cheetahs, zebras, hippos, serval cats, hyenas and wildebeest. Accommodation: 3 or 4 star Lodge Meal: Breakfast picnic lunch and Dinner
DAY 5 & 6: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge – Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check-out from lodge ready for safari to Serengeti National Park Serengeti National Park is immense; it spans roughly 30,000 km2 (12,000 sq. mi). It’s the oldest park in Tanzania and most complex ecosystem on earth. The flora and fauna are almost the same as hundreds of centuries ago. There is so much to see and keep you occupied in Serengeti National Park. One of the best places to spot large predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas is Seronera Valley. You can also see elephants, zebras, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest and many other species on any given day. Accommodation: 3 or 4 star Lodge or tented Camp Meal: Breakfast picnic lunch and Dinner
DAY 7: Central Serengeti (Seronera) - Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)
After breakfast, check-out from Camp ready for the full day game drive in endless plains, you will do en route game drives to Northern Serengeti – Kogatende.You can find the herds around the Mara River. Steep river banks, hungry crocodiles and fast flowing rivers make this river crossing extremely dangerous for the herds. Witness the epic battle of life and dead between predator and prey. The sights are spectacular, impressive as well as dramatic Accommodation: 3 or 4 star Tented Camp Meal: Breakfast picnic lunch and Dinner
DAY 8: Full Day in Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)
After breakfast, check-out from Camp ready for the full day game drive in endless plains, you will do en route game drives to Northern Serengeti – Kogatende. You can find the herds around the Mara River. Steep river banks, hungry crocodiles and fast flowing rivers make this river crossing extremely dangerous for the herds. Witness the epic battle of life and dead between predator and prey. The sights are spectacular, impressive as well as dramatic but river crossing is 50/50 chance to see. Accommodation: 3 or 4 star Tented Camp Meal: Breakfast picnic lunch and Dinner
DAY 9: Kogatende Airstrip - Arusha Airport
After breakfast, check-out from Camp ready for the en-route game drives to Kogatende airstrip, few hours of game drive then arrive at airstrip board of flight back to Arusha for lunch thereafter transfer to Airport.
